             What is Confide Space ? A confined space is not just a small or tight space. By definition (according to OSHA and other safety bodies), it has three specific characteristics: 1. Is Large Enough to Enter: The space must be big enough for a person to enter and perform work . 2. Limited Means of Entry/Exit: It is not designed for continuous occupancy. Entry and exit are often difficult (e.g., through a small hatch or manway). 3. Not Designed for Continuous Occupancy :   Common examples include: storage tanks, silos, reaction vessels, enclosed drains, sewers, ductwork, ship voids, and pipelines.
